Toddler After School Care Guide
Francesca was born in Colorado, and grew up with two sisters. She moved to Portland in 2015 to attend Lewis and Clark College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a focus on early childhood development. Francesca has been drawn to working with children throughout her life. She worked in childcare for 16 years, starting out babysitting and volunteering at a children’s grief center with her grandma, who is a social worker. After college, she was a toddler assistant guide for several years, and discovered her love for Montessori. She carried this with her to a music school, where she was an early childhood music teacher and program director, incorporating Montessori theory into the music program curriculum she wrote. She plays piano, cello and percussion instruments. Francesca has been a toddler lead guide since 2023, and joined Childpeace as the toddler aftercare lead guide in September of 2025. She received her AMI assistance to infancy diploma in 2025 from Montessori Northwest. In her spare time she likes to hang out with her partner Sam, their dog Sukie, and their cat Gandalf. She enjoys arts and crafts, sewing and embroidery, playing video games, watching movies and building Lego sets.
