Aurora
Laurel Room Assistant
Aurora holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Oregon, graduating in 2012. Her foundation in education was built through hands-on practicums throughout the Eugene 4J school district, and her journey with young children began as early as 2007 working with toddlers at the Vivian Olum Child Development Center in Eugene, Oregon. From there, Aurora brought her passion for education to the classroom, teaching 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade in Phoenix, Arizona, before expanding her experience through years of dedicated nannying and a role in human resources at KinderCare Learning Centers, where she deepened her understanding of the childcare field from the inside out.
With over 15 years of childcare and teaching experience spanning infancy through upper elementary, Aurora brings a uniquely broad and grounded perspective to her work with young children. Her return to toddlers as a Toddler Assistant at Childpeace has felt like coming home — a natural alignment of her deep love for the earliest years of childhood development and her commitment to intentional, child centered education. Aurora is passionate about honoring each child's individual journey and is excited to continue growing as a Montessori assistant within the Childpeace community.
In her free time, Aurora loves spending time with her partner, two cats (Seurat + Tapatio), and two dogs (Charlie + Juliette). She loves going for walks and hikes, playing board games, and reading or sketching.
