Lena is originally from Tokyo, Japan, where she attended a Montessori preschool during her primary years. She would later go on to intern as an assistant at her old preschool in 2018. She completed her AMI Children's House Assistants Course certification in 2019. Eager to learn more about Montessori philosophy, she took the AMI Montessori Primary training at Montessori Northwest in 2020-2021.

She loves to explore the city and the outdoors, go thrift shopping, listening to music, and being with her loved ones.
