Susan holds a BA from Beloit College, in Beloit, Wisconsin. She is originally from Orono, Maine and she has lived in Portland since 1995. Susan discovered Montessori teaching at a school in Seattle where she worked for 3 years.

She loves spending time with her family and friends, playing word games, and traveling when she can.
