at Childpeace for the 2011-12 School Year
Why
give to Childpeace? In order to reach our organizational and budgetary
goals, Childpeace depends upon every family to contribute, both as donors
and as volunteers. With 100% participation, we can maintain our extraordinary
educational experience for all students at Childpeace. High participation
rates are also a powerful sign of the school’s institutional health and

Yearly Fundraisers
Childpeace
Art Run
The Childpeace Art Run is an exciting and successful jog-a-thon event
to raise money for arts education at Childpeace. Students and their
families obtain sponsor pledges from family members, friends, neighbors
and colleagues. The students provide enthusiasm and leg power!
Fundraising Goal $17,000
Timeline
Pledge forms are due on Monday, October 10th: CH event is Thursday,
October 13th, Elementary event is Friday, October 14th (see information
in folders for additional detail)
Annual
Appeal
In the fall every family will be asked to make a tax-deductible contribution
to the Childpeace Montessori Annual Appeal. While early participation
is encouraged and many individuals make their gift by December 31st, gifts
may be pledged and paid any time prior to June 30th (the end of Childpeace's
fiscal year).
100% participation is our primary goal and all gifts are appreciated—donations to the Annual Appeal have ranged from $5 to $15,000.

Spring
Auction
The annual Spring Auction is a fun and festive community event for the
school and is also the year’s biggest fundraising and volunteer effort.
This year's event, on Saturday, March 3rd at Pure Space, will include
a fabulous dinner and full program of entertainment and fundraising. Get
your babysitters now!
Donations and volunteer time for the auction are greatly appreciated. Every year, parents, extended family, and friends of Childpeace offer their time and generous and unique donations to support this event.

SCRIP:
Groceries, Gift Cards and More
What is SCRIP? The word “scrip” means replacement currency, in this case,
in the form of plastic cards commonly known as gift cards. Check out the
order form at the front desk or Childpeace website for a complete list
of participating retailers or stop by the scrip table in the playroom
to purchase “insta-scrip”.

Nearly effortless ways to raise money for Childpeace
e-Scrip Register your credit cards and select store cards through the eScrip site and they will donate a percentage of your purchases at participating retailers back to the school.
